HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Chattanooga Mocs women's tennis team suffered a tight 4-3 loss in a dual matchup against Southern Mississippi in non-conference action in Hattiesburg, Miss., held at the Southern Miss Tennis Complex on Friday afternoon.

Following the loss, Chattanooga falls to 4-3 on the year. Southern Miss improves its record to 3-0 on the young season.

"The ladies fought really hard today and had some chances," said head coach Chad Camper following the match.

"Importantly, we go better today and that was a match we needed."

Chattanooga returns to action on Thursday, February 17, when it hosts ACC-member Georgia Tech at 3:15 p.m. ET.

Depending on weather conditions, the match will either be held outdoors at the UTC Tennis Center or inside at the Strang-Voges Tennis Center on the campus of The McCallie School. Stick to GoMocs.com for all information.
