CHATTANOOGA - The University of Chattanooga at Tennessee's wrestling team concluded its regular season with a thrilling 21-15 win over the Indiana Hoosiers in Bloomington, Ind. on Sunday afternoon.   

With the win, UTC concludes the regular season at 9-10. It is the team's second all-time victory over Indiana. The Hoosiers drop to 3-8 after the loss.

Indiana started the dual with back-to-back decisions at 125 and 133 pounds, 6-5 and 5-3 respectively. Franco Valdes put the Mocs on the board with a decision at 141. Noah

Castillo (149), Lincoln Heck (157) and Drew Nicholson (165) added decisions of their own to give the Mocs a 12-6 advantage through the first six weight classes.

At 174, Carial Tarter pinned Isiah Levitz to double Chattanooga's lead, putting them up, 18-6.  Indiana halted the Mocs' streak with a major decision at 184 to keep them in the dual. At 197, Matthew Waddell sealed it for the Mocs with a narrow 3-2 decision. Indiana closed the dual with a tech fall at 285.

The win is the first over a Power-5 team for the Mocs since Feb. 14, 2016 when UTC beat No. 19 Virginia, 19-18.

UTC takes the next week off before the Southern Conference Tournament in Boone, N.C. on Saturday, March 5.
