BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Chattanooga Mocs women's team dropped a tough 4-3 decision on the road to Western Kentucky on Sunday afternoon at the WKU Tennis Complex courts in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Following the loss, Chattanooga falls to an even 5-5 this season. WKU improved its season mark to 7-3 this year.
"After playing the doubles point, the team fought hard but just couldn't get the fourth point," said head coach
Chad Camper. "There were a lot of positives out there."
Emma Van Hee and
Coco Bosman secured the team's lone win in doubles action, 6-1, while Van Hee (6-2, 6-0) and Bosman (4-6, 6-2, 6-2) each picked up victories in singles play to aid the squad's total.
Callie Billman posted the other victory in singles play with a 6-2, 6-0 decision.
Chattanooga returns to action on Saturday and Sunday, March 5 and 6, when it travels to Martin, Tenn., to face Missouri State and UT Martin. When available, all match coverage links will be posted to GoMocs.com.
