- The Chattanooga Mocs dropped a narrow 59-53 decision to Mercer in McKenzie Arena Thursday night…UTC is now 6-17, 4-4 in the Southern Conference, while the Bears move to 14-6, 7-1 in the league.

- Trailed by as many as 13 before storming back to close within three, 54-51, with 4:07 to go on a Dena Jarrells layup…the two teams traded six empty possessions before Amoria Neal-Tysor's layup at 2:12 settled the Bears.
- Held Mercer to just four offensive rebounds and zero second chance points on the night…defensive rebound percentage was .886 (31/35).
- Cold shooting night making 25.8 percent (16-62) and 25.0 percent (7-28) from 3pt range…conversely, Mercer shot 41.8 percent (23-55) including five of eight (62.5%) from beyond the arc.

- Sigrun Olafsdottir had nine rebounds to with four points…second time this season leading the squad on the boards.
- Brooke Hampel registered 10 points and five rebounds…ninth time this season, 24th career, in double figures.
- Strong effort off the bench for Karsen Murphy recording nine points, seven rebounds, two blocks, two assists and a block in 23:11 off the bench…tied career highs for blocks and assists…highest rebound total in a SoCon game.
- Addie Grace Porter added eight points, four rebounds and two steals off the bench…sixth multi-steal game of the season…got six of her eight points at the free throw line (6-8).
- Destiny McClendon was a team-best +6 in 13:53 off the bench.
