JACKSONVILLE, Fla.---The Chattanooga Mocs women's golf team shot 628 over the opening 36 holes of the UNF Collegiate Monday. The quartet navigated the Country Club of Jacksonville at 313 in the first 18 and 315 in the afternoon.
 
Dorota Zalewska leads the way tied for 25th with 149. Esme Hamilton is not far behind at 152 followed by Megan Docherty's 161 and Carolina Hortian's 166.
 
Hamilton led the effort in the first 18 with a 75. Zalewska's 76 was next as Docherty and Hortian shot 79 and 83, respectively. Zalewska had the squad's best tally with 73 in the second round with Hamilton at 77. Docherty turned in 82, just ahead of Hortian's 83.
 
Host North Florida has the lead with a 1-over 577. A trio of golfers are tied for the individual lead at 3 under as Daniela Gonzalez Pinto (UNF), Isha Dhruva (Penn State) and Carlota Garcia (South Alabama) hold a one-stroke advantage heading into tomorrow's final round.
 
Tuesday's 18 36-hole day is an 8:30 a.m., shotgun start. The ladies begin on holes 3-5 paired with Sam Houston and Georgia Southern. The final 18 concludes the event on Tuesday.
