CHATTANOOGA---A school-record five Chattanooga Mocs earned 2022 Hampshire Honor Society membership from the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame Wednesday. The quintet includes wide receiver Tyron Arnett, defensive backs Rashun Freeman and Jerrell Lawson along with offensive lineman Cole Strange and linebacker Christian Snyder.

All five members of the group played the 2021 season as post-graduate students. Lawson, in fact, played with both undergraduate and MBA degrees already under his belt.

The five are part of an elite group of 1,559 student-athletes from all levels of collegiate football – NCAA DI, II & III, NAIA and Sprint Football. The group comes from 313 different institutions with this year's total being the second-highest for the organization in the program's 16th year. Student-athletes must have maintained a 3.2 GPA on a 4.0 scale and met all NCAA/NAIA-mandated progress towards degree requirements. The honorees are also required to have been starters or significant contributors throughout the 2021 season.
