• Chattanooga beat Furman 51-44 in double-overtime at Timmons Arena Saturday afternoon … UTC improves to 11-9 overall, 3-2 SoCon … Furman falls to 9-11 on the year and 1-4 in league play.

• Mocs improve to 57-31 all-time against the Paladins, snapping a five game losing streak.

• The teams went into overtime last year at the SoCon Tournament with Furman winning 70-63 in the quarterfinal round.

• This was just the third overtime game between the two programs and the Mocs first win in extra time.
Â
• Chattanooga was 2-of-4 from the free throw line in the fourth quarter and 0-10 from the field after leading 36-28 at the end of the third quarter.

• In the first overtime, both teams made one basket and two free throws for four points, sending the game into double overtime.
Â
• In the second overtime, UTC outscored Furman 9-2 and was 5-of-9 from the free throw line in the period.

• UTC's first free throw of the game was with 50 seconds to play in regulation.

• Chattanooga was 18-of-61 (29.5%) from the field – it's worst field goal percentage of the year … Furman was 16-of-57 (28.1%), matching Belmont's shooting effort.
