Opening statement
"I thought we got good looks for the most part when we didn't turn it over with how they defend. Maybe watching film change some of that. And then I'm looking out there, they're exhausted. We got Addie played 50, Yazz 49 and some change Si
 
"I tell you what, we fought and fought and fought and fought fought and tried to hang in there. It was hard to stay energetic when there was that many misses. But I thought we did a wonderful job of hanging in and we got stops when we needed it. Defensively, I thought we did a really, really good job of making it hard on them. We executed a game plan which gave us a chance. Boy, they'd make life easier if we can we can hit a couple of shots. In the third there it was 11 [point lead] and we had three, what I felt like, great basketball plays, wide open threes that I thought would have just kind of blew the top off of it. We had some turnovers there during that stretch and then we just allowed them to kind of creep all the way back into it. [grun] 49 as well. They're exhausted."
 
On returning to Furman on the opponent's bench
"Obviously was a little emotional coming back here and I didn't want to make it about myself but they knew. Addie Grace, kind of a big ole hug, and she said 'I told you we had your back' and you know it kind of brings tears in my eyes. Their fight. They're giving everything we want. I get frustrated because I want so much more for them. We just haven't figured it all the way out. We made some plays."
 
On Addie Grace Porter's game and leadership
"She's tougher than nails. I thought she did a wonderful job leading us when we weren't good offensively. It's what I challenged her with after Thursday's game is when plays ain't going well and I'm screaming at you, you guys can't, in a sense, cower. You need to go in there and lead us, get us back going, encourage because as coaches we're gonna get frustrated cuz you're not executing. You know, there's only so much we can stay positive. I thought tonight she was fantastic. She's tough. But with that said, I thought we did a wonderful job boxing out which allowed her to get in space because her man's getting back and she takes advantage every one of those."
