- Chattanooga held off ETSU in the fourth quarter to get a 53-50 win on the road in the Southern Conference opener for both teams … UTC improves to 9-7, 1-0 SoCon … ETSU moves to 13-4, 0-1 SoCon.
 
- Chattanooga improves its series lead against the Bucs to 63-25 and 29-14 in Johnson City.
 
- UTC led scoring in the first three quarters … ETSU outscored the Mocs 16-9 in the fourth and got as close as one point, 51-50, with 21 seconds to play.
 
- The Bucs committed an intentional foul with 6.4 seconds to play giving UTC free throws and the ball … Wazeerud-Din made 1-of-2 to make it 52-50 … Addie Grace Porter was fouled on the throw-in and made 1-of-2 free throws to make it 53-50 with less than five seconds to play … ETSU missed a 3-point shot to the left of the basket as time ran out.
 
- Mocs tied the game 6-6 on a layup by Wazeerud-Din at the 5:55 mark of the first quarter … Olafsdottir drained a 3-pointer with 4:41 to go in the first to put the Mocs up 9-6 and UTC did not trail the rest of the way.
 
- Chattanooga outrebounded the Bucs 40-34 … 40 is the second most rebounds by UTC this season … held the Bucs to 8.9 fewer rebounds than season average (42.9).
