CULLOWHEE, N.C. --- The Chattanooga Mocs fell 2-0 at Western Carolina in Southern Conference women's soccer action. The Mocs fall to 8-4-1 on the year and 2-2-1 against the league while the Catamounts improve to 7-3-3 overall and 4-1 in SoCon play.

The Catamounts scored both goals in the first half. The first came in the 11
th minute on a pass into the box for Naya Marcil. The second was a shot sent from midfield to Isabella DeMarco who split the defenders for the goal in the 28
th minute.

Chattanooga got off 15 shots, nine on goal led by
Kennedy Heavrin's four.
Caroline Richvalsky had three shots, all on goal and
Clarissa Salinas fired off three shots with two on goal.

Caroline Ekern pulled in a career-high eight saves with four in each half.
Â
Chattanooga will host VMI Sunday at Finley Stadium at 1:00 p.m. The Mocs will honor seniors
Mackenzie Smith,
Birna Johannsdottir and
Sofia Andrade prior to the game. It will also be a Pink Out. Fans are encouraged to wear pink in support of the fight against breast cancer.
