Women’s Tennis Inks Knoxville Standout Savannah Presson on National Signing Day

The Chattanooga Mocs women's tennis team earned a commitment from four-star Knoxville native Savannah Presson.

CHATTANOOGA --- The Chattanooga Mocs women's tennis program and head coach Chad Camper have announced the signing of Savannah Presson, a standout player out of Knoxville, Tennessee, as part of National Signing Day festivities on November 8.
 
Presson, a four-star recruit according to TennisRecruiting.net, is ranked No. 2 in the state of Tennessee for the class of 2024 by the publication and carries a No. 28 ranking in the Southeast and No. 98 nationally.
 
A product of the Tennessee Tennis Club and Academy (TTCA) in Knoxville, Presson posted a second-place finish in the G18 section of the 2023 USTA Southern Closed Championships (Level 3) event held in Mobile, Alabama, during the summer.
 
Presson carries a 234 USTA Standing and a 16.8 ITF rating following her stellar scholastic career. She holds a combined 24-13 record against four and five-star recruits and a perfect 9-0 record against three and two-star prospects, according to TennisRecruiting.net.
 
Her national ranking peaked at No. 45 during the 2022 and 2021 recruiting seasons while her TennisRPI ranking climbed to as high as 15 during the 2021 cycle. Presson was named in the TheLotto Elite Hot 100 List on TennisRecruiting in April of 2021, highlighting the top 100 players in the nation who have improved their rankings.
