Opening statement
"That was a great win there. We had to have a really big weekend and they came up with two really big wins and in different ways. We started off there 7-2, I thought it could have been 20-2. We got some wide open looks from Yazz and some others. Then they go on a run and it didn't feel like we could ever stop them. We get down 10 and just got to chip away and had a heck of a start to the second quarter. Got that thing within one going into the half."
 
On the play of Raven Thompson
"She had 23. It could have been 30. She missed the easy ones and made the hard ones. She's big for us. She didn't play her best Thursday and we talked about it yesterday. She kinda felt sorry for herself and I said 'whoa! We ain't got no time for that. You are too important for us.' We had a little talk and it ended with a smile and she came out and had a heck of a game for us today."
 
On Chattanooga's rebounding and getting stops
"We got like three or four stops down there then we came down and executed wonderfully. That separated it. It was a one-point game back and forth and then that little stretch got us to six-seven-eight. We kinda fell asleep right there and gave them two easy ones to make it a ball game and then we missed some free throws. We've got to make some of them free throws and go ahead and ice this things so we can stop having a heart attack over here on this bench!"
 
On the win and what's ahead
"We got Furman and Wofford this week. A lot of people are going to talk about Wofford this week, but we've got to take care of business against Furman on Thursday. We talked about we had the opportunity to get into first this weekend. It was in our hands and we've got to grab it. We grabbed it. Now we've got to squeeze."
