ABOUT CHATTANOOGA GOLF
NEW ORLEANS—The Chattanooga Mocs are 15th after 18 holes of the Tulane Classic presented by Chad Brownstein at English Turn Golf & Country Club. The Mocs 333 is three strokes behind Rutgers in 14th and two clear of the 16th-place duo of Arkansas State and Charleston Southern.
Kera Healey led the way with even-par 72. It was an impressive card with two birdies, 14 pars and two bogeys considering how tough English Turn played Sunday. It was eight below the average tally over the field's 95 scores.
"Kera played terrific today," Coach
Colette Murray shared. "She was just so solid. It was very windy, and she handled it like a pro."
Nieves Martin,
Megan Docherty and
Dorota Zalewska completed the counting cards. Martin posted 82 in her first round as a collegiate starter, while Docherty added 83. Zalewska turned in 85.
Carolina Hortian was unavailable giving the squad just the four counting on the course.
Purdue leads overall at 11-over 299. That's seven ahead of UTEP in second at 306. The Boilermakers Ashley Kozlowski is leading at 1 under just ahead of Healey and two others at even.
The 18-team field returns to the tee Monday morning for the second of three rounds this week. Live scoring and pairings, when available, are linked above.
