"They took us out of everything we could run and we didn't have enough toughness. It was not the prettiest of games and you know down the stretch we just kind of lost us a little bit. This one hurt. It hurts a lot. I know what we were playing for. I know what the kids in that locker room, I know they wanted it. I know they wanted it so bad. Sometimes maybe to a fault because we were just very uncharacteristic especially early in the game. You know we're just not ready yet but it's part of it."
 
On playing with foul trouble
"We played uncharacteristic lineups all night because we get in foul trouble and Addie Grace, unfortunately, we couldn't keep her out there and then she's in foul trouble so she doesn't defend like she normally does and just one of them days."
 
On the difference in shooting percentages and turnovers
"When you give them more shots because we've turned it over. We had 19 turnovers. We had kind of got it down to that realm of 11 or 12. We've had some single digits if I'm not mistaken. So with how we play we can't turn the ball over because we're not going to force turnovers that's just not who we are. We're going to, hopefully, shoot a better percentage we're going to out rebound you. Those numbers just didn't play itself through today."
