CHATTANOOGA --- The No. 70 ranked Chattanooga Mocs women's tennis team upped its winning streak to six matches following a 7-0 blanking of NAIA-member Tennessee Wesleyan on Sunday afternoon inside the Strang-Voges Tennis Center.
 
Following the win, Chattanooga improves to 9-1 on the season after winnings its last six. TWU falls to 4-1 on the season after the defeat.

"It has been a great weekend and we got a lot of things accomplished," said head coach Chad Camper. "We're really excited to keep improving as the season continues."
 
Chattanooga opened the match with a 1-0 lead after controlling the doubles point in dominating fashion. The No. 2 tandem of Coco Bosman and Lucia Garrigues-Melendez earned a 6-0 win while the No. 3 duo of Callie Billman and Rozalie Dohnalova posted a 6-1 victory.
 
In singles action, Dohnalova started the team scoring with a 6-1, 6-0 win in the No. 6 hole before the No. 2 player in C. Bosman posted a similar 6-1, 6-0 decision to make it 3-0. Garrigues-Melendez provided the match clinching point at No. 4 behind a 6-0, 6-0 blanking.
 
Caroline Gibbens earned a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 3 ahead of a 6-2, 6-1 win at the top singles matchup from Jessie Young. Pippa Bosman closed out the 7-0 team victory with a 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 5.
 
Chattanooga (9-1) gets set for a five-match road trip that kicks off next weekend with a Saturday match at Jacksonville State and a Sunday matchup at Troy. Match coverage links will be posted on the schedule page on GoMocs.com when available.
