CLEMSON, S.C. --- The Chattanooga Mocs women's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to ACC-member Clemson in its non-conference finale on Sunday afternoon on the road in Clemson, S.C.
 
Following the loss, Chattanooga falls to 11-4 overall this season while maintaining its 0-1 mark in league play. Clemson improves to 13-7 overall and holds a 2-6 mark inside ACC action.
 
"It was a great start with our doubles win," said head coach Chad Camper. "The women bounced back from our loss yesterday and really played with a lot of heart. I'm excited to get back to practice this week."
 
The Mocs took an early 1-0 lead after doubles action behind victories at the No. 2 and No. 3 pairings. Nicole Abel and Callie Billman posted a 6-3 win at No. 2 before Lucia Garrigues-Melendez and Rozalie Dohnalova clinched the point with a 7-5 decision at No. 3.
 
Dohnalova extended her winning streak in singles matches to seven behind a 7-6 (2), 6-4 victory at the No. 5 slot. She is now 9-1 in her last 10 singles matches which also amounts to her season overall singles record.
 
Chattanooga (11-4, 0-1 SoCon) returns to action on Friday when it hosts SoCon-foe Samford for a conference matchup at the UTC Tennis Center. Live stats will be available on GoMocs.com with links available on the schedule page.
