Jordan Earns All-Conference Honors

Rocky Jordan

Rocky Jordan earned a spot on the All-Southern Conference team after leading the Chattanooga Mocs through the 2022-23 campaign.

SOCON CHAMPIONSHIPS NOTES

CHATTANOOGA---Chattanooga Mocs 174 Rocky Jordan had an impact from start-to-finish in 2022-23, his first season on the mat in the Scenic City. That work was rewarded Thursday with well-earned All-Southern Conference merit voted on by the league coaches.

It was an easy decision at 174. Jordan went 8-0 in the league with two decisions (1pt shy of majors), a major, four tech falls and a pin. He amassed 36 of a possible 48 dual points for the league campaign.

For the season, Jordan went 16-2 wrestling entirely in duals. His lone losses were to top 15 competition. He is ranked as high as 10th nationally.

"Rocky came here with a purpose and delivered," Coach Kyle Ruschell shared. "He was great in our room and is very deserving of any and all accolades he gets.

"It's just starting for Rocky. He has the opportunity to make it a very special March."
