BIRMINGHAM, Ala. --- The Chattanooga 4x400 meter relay took second Saturday on the final day of the UAB Spring Invite.

"Today was a speed and sprinters day," Chattanooga head coach
Andy Meyer said. "All the events were short and fast. There was a very strong headwind in the back stretch that stood the runners up."

Sarah Unterholzner and
Maddie Wheatcroft combined for a 2:07.49 in the first 800 meters holding tight to second. Lexi Foley maintained the Mocs pace with a 1:06.59 in her 400 meters and
Emmy Davis anchored the Mocs for an overall time of 4:20.85.

Maddie Wheatcroft and Lexi Foley posted top times in outdoor track in the 800 meter. Wheatcroft was sixth overall with a time of 2:24.09 while Foley placed 10
th at 2:29.75.

"Lexi had the best 800 race of her season so far," Chattanooga head coach
Andy Meyer said. "She passed several in the final 300 meters."

Unterholzner placed fourth in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:07.11 and
Reagan Ruth topped her time in the event placing seventh with a 1:13.38.

"Reagan and Sarah were able to improve on their times despite the headwinds," Meyer said.
Â
Imani Bryant ran near her PRs in both the 100 and 200 meters and Ruth ran a 16.28 in the 100 meter hurdles.
Â
"Overall it was a good meet to prepare and improve the team for the big Lee Meet next week."
Chattanooga will compete April 7 and 8 at the Lee Flames Invitational in Cleveland, Tenn.
