ABOUT CHATTANOOGA GOLF
CHATTANOOGA---The Chattanooga Mocs women's golf team stays home this week to host the Chattanooga Classic. An impressive 18-team field descends on Council Fire Golf Club with 18 hole per day Sunday through Tuesday.
It's staggered tee times off No. 1 and 10 starting at 9 a.m., on Sunday and Monday before a shotgun start on Tuesday to get the nationwide contingent on their way and back in class on Wednesday.
The Mocs begin at 11 a.m., Sunday off No. 1 playing with the favorite, per Golfstat Rankings, SMU and South Florida. The Mustangs are No. 28 in the latest rankings and lead a group of 11 ranked in the top 100 as of last week's action.
Chattanooga's first golfer off the tee is actually starting at 10:40 a.m., with individual
Isabella Yu Lee.
Nieves Martin opens for the starting lineup at 11 a.m., followed in 10-minute intervals by
Carolina Hortian,
Megan Docherty,
Kera Healey and
Dorota Zalewska.
Defending champion UTSA returns as well. The Roadrunners begin defense of their title at 9:50 a.m., playing with Notre Dame and Grand Canyon.
Admission is free all three days.

- Kera Healey posted five par or better cards in her first nine spring rounds. She has six for the year.
- Dorota Zalewska is looking to become just the second Moc to record four or more wins. She's in a triad of three with three joining Emma de Groot '11 (6) & Emily McLennan '16 (3).
- The Mocs have a win and two runners-up in four hosted events in program history.
