Women’s Golf: 2023-24 Schedule Revealed

Kera Healey and the Chattanooga Mocs set sights on the 2023-24 campaign announced today by Coach Colette Murray.

CHATTANOOGA---The Chattanooga Mocs women's golf team looks forward to the 2023-24 schedule Coach Colette Murray released Friday. It features nine regular season events including the Chattanooga Classic (April 7-9) leading into Southern Conference and NCAA postseason play.
The Mocs start off at Vanderbilt with a winding road leading back to Chattanooga and Council Fire Golf Club for the annual Chattanooga Classic. The 200-day odyssey preps the team for the postseason gauntlet that starts in mid-April in Hilton Head for the SoCon Championships and weaves through six possible NCAA Tournament Regional sites to work its way to scenic Carlsbad, Calif, and the NCAA Tournament Championships.
"This year's schedule looks a little different than in years past," Murray began. "We added a few new events to the spring portion and are excited that we were invited back to Vanderbilt and Tennessee.
"With the new ranking system that the NCAA has adopted, there are a lot of unknowns about how schedules will influence rankings. We put one together that we believe will allow us to be competitive but will also allow us to see many different teams."
There are four fall events, all semi-regulars for the Mocs starting at the Mason Rudolph Championships (Sept. 22-24) at the Vanderbilt Legends Club. The road leads to the Tidewater region of Virginia for Old Dominion's Evie Odom Invite (Oct. 6-8) before Tennessee's Mercedes-Benz Collegiate (Oct. 15-17). The Brickyard Intercollegiate (Oct. 30-31) in Macon, Ga., closes out the 4-tournament fall slate.
Spring comes early with the now annual trip to the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational (Feb. 23-25) at Great Waters Club in Eatonton, Ga. The UNF Collegiate (Mar. 4-5) follows in Jacksonville, Fla., before a quick turnaround to Gadsden, Ala., for the Chris Banister Invite (Mar. 10-12).
It's back to Florida for Western Kentucky's Spring Break Shootout (Mar. 18-19). The spring concludes April 7-9 at Council Fire for the Chattanooga Classic with free admission to follow the Mocs against another strong field. That leads to Hilton Head's Moss Creek Club and the Southern Conference Championships (Apr. 14-16).
NCAA Regionals play is May 6-8. There are six sites:
The NCAA Championships shifts to the San Diego area after a run in Scottsdale, Ariz. Omni La Costa Resort and Spa is the new home with the ladies tackling the former PGA Tour Champions Course venue from May 17-22.
