SPARTANBURG, S.C.---The annual Southern Conference Faculty/Staff Awards were announced late in the afternoon on Thursday. The Chattanooga Mocs were represented by All-SoCon Faculty member Dr. Liz Hathaway and All-SoCon Staff's Theresa Blackman.

The duo, dubbed the Twin Towers of the awards set with each standing at 6-1, come from Health and Human Performance and the College of Arts and Sciences.
 
"This is a special program by the league office," Vice Chancellor for Athletics Mark Wharton explained. "It's great to see our faculty and staff recognized in this manner. We are very appreciative of their efforts with all students at the University, however, we are most grateful for their work and mentoring of our student-athletes."
 
Dr. Hathaway is the UC Foundation Associate Professor in Health and Human Performance. She came to Chattanooga in 2016 holding degrees from Georgia (Undergrad & Doctoral), Georgia Southern (Master's) and Georgia College (Master's).
 
Blackman is assistant director of pre-health student services as well as an advisor in the College of Arts and Sciences. She joined the University in 2017. She owns bachelor's and master's degrees from Lee in Cleveland, Tenn.
