Shawn Poppie, head coach
On snapping UNCG's home court win streak
"They're a really good basketball team. They're really good at home. We just found a way to be a little better tonight. Any road win is a good win and we'll take it after the defeat we had up here last year that took a championship from us."

On bouncing back from a slow start
"I thought we got off to a slow start. I don't know if we were waiting to see what kind of pressure it looked like or whatever. But I thought we did a lot of standing around and watching and took ourselves into a lot of traffic. So we struggled to score early on. I thought once we spread it out and made US plays as the game went on, I mean, we scored 23 in the second [quarter], 19 in the third and 22 in the fourth. Much more efficient on the offensive side of it and defensively, I thought overall, we did a pretty solid job. We've got to finish on some box outs. We a chance there in the third to finish on a better note. We let them finish on a run. Little stuff we've got to figure out, but proud of the group."

On individual efforts
Caia Elisaldez
"How about Caia [Elisaldez] coming in and what an unbelievable game she had for us in a much needed time. When people crash you, you got to space them out and go by them. Sometimes our other guards become a little passive and wait for Jada [Guinn] or Ray [Raven Thompson] to do it. I thought that gave us a third handler to go by and make some plays."
Raven Thompson
"Raven Thompson had 19 and nine and it should have been 29 and nine. There were some hands on her."
• Addie Grace Porter
"Tough as nails. She didn't have it offensively. I thought she was a little aggressive early on, but she's our leader. She's tough.

On the Mocs 3-point shooting
"I think we're the best 3-point shooting team in the league and it's coming from a lot of different people. We're screaming at Hannah [Kohn] TO shoot it, you know. It's coming along. I like the team."

Raven Thompson, So., F
On what went well for her and the team.
"I feel like this was a team win. We did it all together. No matter how many points I had, it was all thanks to my teammates. They helped me tremendously."

On her rebounding effort on the night.
"The game plan was really to just keep them off the offensive boards since they love to do that. We needed to know where the people were and box them out, and we did that."

Caia Elisaldez, Fr., G
On how she was able to take the game over in the fourth.
"Honestly I think in the fourth quarter we all just knew that we had ended the third quarter not as great as we had wanted. Yes we were up, but we knew we had more in us. Going into this game my focus was on controlling what I can control and letting myself be able to make mistakes. I knew for my team's sake that I had to do that, so I took shots when I was open, found people when they were open and just corrected the things I needed to correct. In that moment I just knew I had to step up for my team."

On handing UNCG their first loss at home this season.
"Honestly it was great because their crowd was loud and their crowd was rowdy before and they just created such a great environment. It felt great to hush them all up after all of that. We had a small amount of fans and we had each other, and we pulled this out for one another and together. We did it for us and it felt great. We were definitely together in this win."
