CHATTANOOGA --- Chattanooga women's basketball has added a new three-point shooting threat to its 2024-25 roster, head coach Deandra Schirmer announced on Monday, with the Mocs adding North Alabama transfer Jade Moore to its ranks.

Moore spent her previous three seasons playing for the Lions from 2020-23, where she started in a total of 43 games and averaged 8.0 points/game over her UNA career. Moore also served as a serious three-point threat for the Lions, having led North Alabama in three-pointers made during the 2022-23 season with 84.

"Jade is a proven scorer at this level," Coach Schirmer said. "She is a sharpshooter with a high basketball IQ. She brings veteran experience with elite playmaking ability to this team."

Moore's 2022-23 season at UNA saw her finish ranked 19th in the entire NCAA when it came to three-pointers made/game, averaging 2.8 threes made/game. In her career with the Lions, Moore was a double-digit scorer 33 times while holding career shooting splits of 39.2 percent (204-for-520) from the floor, 35.9 percent (148-for-412) from three and 78 percent (46-for-59) from the free throw line.

Moore spent her high school playing days at Whitfield High School, where she finished with over 1,000 career points for the Warriors while leading her team to two Final Four appearances, an Elite Eight showing and a State Runner-Up finish. A four-time all-conference selection, Moore also set Whitfield's single-game three-point record, making 10 in one game.

The daughter of Everett and Andrea Moore, Jade was born December 18, 2001, and hails from St. Louis, Missouri. Moore intends on majoring in Applied Leadership while she wraps up her collegiate playing career at UTC.
