Women’s Golf: Stevenazzi Added to 2024-25 Roster

Coach Colette Murray made a mid-summer addition to her 2024-25 Chattanooga Mocs women’s golf roster before the start of classes.
ABOUT CHATTANOOGA GOLF
CHATTANOOGA---The Chattanooga Mocs women's golf team made a late addition to the 2024-25 roster with Uruguayan Chloe Stevenazzi. The incoming freshman from Montevideo has four years of eligibility remaining.
A what an addition it is. She won five times as a junior golfer in South America. However, all but one of those wins came in women's event.
"We were hitting the portal pretty hard," Coach Colette Murray shared about the late opportunity with a freshman. "It was tough. We were swinging and missing losing transfers to Alabama, Baylor and such. Then Chloe's name came up. She went through a period where she thought maybe she didn't want to play competitive golf anymore.
"She took a break and decided this is what she wanted. Thankfully, we were in the loop and able to make contact. We're grateful this is where she wanted to be."
That break evidently didn't break her momentum. Her most recent win came this year at the Uruguay National Stroke Championship as well as runner-up in the Uruguay National Match Play. From 2022-24, she added 17 top 5s and 22 total top 10s to her resume. Stevenazzi also represented her country n the 2023 Pan Am Games finishing 27th against a largely professional field.
This year's schedule will be released later this week.
