Giulia Foresta paced the Chattanooga Mocs with her first par or better round of the season over the final 18 of the Mason Rudolph Championships.

FRANKLIN, Tenn.---The Chattanooga Mocs women's golf team completed a sequential week at the Mason Rudolph Championships Sunday with a final round 297. The Mocs shot 295 and 296 the first two days for an 888 total on the VU Legends Club North Course finishing between Middle Tennessee and Lipscomb.
Giulia Foresta paced the final 18 effort with even-par 72. Violeta Fernandez-Tagle ended a consistent week with 73, while Kera Healey came in at 75. Makenzie Cooper's 77 completed the team card as Chloe Stevenazzi's had the drop score with 79.
Fernandez-Tagle led the squad with 217 over the three days. Foresta was next at 221, two better than Healey's 223. Cooper was next at 227, while Stevenazzi ended up with 245.
Texas cruised to the team win by six over South Carolina. Northwestern was another shot behind in third. Mississippi State's Avery Weed emerged from a 5-way tie for first to start the day to claim the a 1-stroke win with a 13-under total.
"It was nice to be able to have some consistency amongst our play this week," Coach Colette Murray reflected over the last three days. "Another really solid event for V, and exciting for everyone in the lineup to shoot in the 70s during this final round. We've got a little bit of time to try and tidy some things up, and we're looking forward to playing Princess Anne CC again!"
The Mocs are off until Oct. 4-6. The ladies return to the Evie Odom Invitational in Virginia Beach, Va., site of Cooper's first career win a year ago.
