Women’s Tennis Battles Louisville in Tight 5-2 Loss on Saturday

The Chattanooga Mocs women's tennis team opened its weekend play with a matchup against ACC-member Louisville.
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (January 25, 2025) – The Chattanooga Mocs women's tennis team opened weekend action in Murfreesboro, Tenn., with a tight 5-2 loss to ACC-member Louisville in a neutral site matchup inside the MTSU Indoor Facility on Saturday.
With Louisville (2-1) surrendering the No. 3 doubles spot, Chattanooga (0-3) nearly came away with the big team point after both the No. 1 duo of Alice Hall and Rozalie Dohnalova and No. 2 tandem of Madlena Orlova and Savannah Presson lost in tie-breaking fashion by similar 7-6 (7-5) decisions.
"We had a really good chance in doubles with Louisville being limited and both matches coming down to the wire," said head coach Chad Camper. "I wish we were just a bit healthier."
Freshman Savannah Presson accounted for the team's second point after Alice Hall earned a default victory in the No. 6 hole due to the Cards limited availability. Presson posted a 6-3, 5-7, 10-8 decision in the No. 3 singles slot over UL's Allie Gretowski.

Chattanooga will end the weekend against Middle Tennessee tomorrow in Murfreesboro with an 11 a.m. matchup before heading to Hattiesburg, Miss., next weekend where the Mocs will face Southern Mississippi on Friday and Northwestern State on Saturday.
