• Chattanooga fell 79-66 to UAB in just their second home game of the season … the Mocs move to 2-3 on the year and UAB evens its record at 2-2.
• The Mocs trailed 38-22 at the half but cut the lead to seven points with 3:23 to play with an 8-0 run late in the fourth quarter.
• The Mocs shot 44 percent in the second half, 50 percent in the final period, and held the Blazers to two buckets on 12 (16.7%) tries in the final frame.
• Chattanooga outscored the Blazers 44-41 in the second half and shot 44 percent (15-34) in the half … UAB shot 16.7 percent (2-12) in the fourth quarter but was 18-of-18 from the free throw line.
• The Blazers outrebounded the Mocs 35-31 … UTC held the advantage in the paint 32-24 and outscored UAB 11-5 on second chance points.
• The Mocs largest scoring run was 10-0 in the third quarter capped at the 1:44 mark of the period that cut into the Blazers 22-point lead.
