CHATTANOOGA (February 8, 2025) – The Chattanooga Mocs women's tennis team cruised to a 7-0 shutout over Eastern Kentucky during non-conference action on Saturday afternoon outside at the UTC Tennis Center on campus.
Chattanooga (3-4) has now won back-to-back matches following today's win over EKU (4-7). The Mocs swept all six singles matches after claiming the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3 with the latter tandem of
Emma Pedretti and
Margaret Manolache providing the clinching moment with a 6-3 win.
Four of the six singles matches won by the Mocs came via straight sets while the remaining two saw No. 1
Rozalie Dohnalova battle back with a 6-4, 3-6, 7-5 tiebreaker win and No. 5
Zara Burns post a 6-2, 4-6, 11-9 super tiebreak victory.
