CHATTANOOGA (May 15, 2025) – Incoming Chattanooga Mocs women's tennis signee Ella Mancuso put together an impressive run through the Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) state tournament in late April and earned a pair of titles to officially cap off her scholastic career.
Mancuso (St. Joseph's Academy) swept her way to the LHSAA Division I Girls Tennis Singles individual title while helping her squad capture the LHSAA Division I Girls Tennis team title in the process. St. Joseph's Academy ran away with the team state title after registering a 21.5-point total, besting the second-place finisher Barbe (8) by 13.5 points.
Mancuso was impressive throughout her singles title run, posting five straight-set victories and ultimately ending her run with a 6-4, 7-5 winner over a four-star prospect in the championship match. Mancuso signed with UTC and head coach Chad Champer as part of the early signing period back in November 2024.
According to the latest Tennis Recruiting Network rankings, Mancuso is a four-star recruit and is currently ranked as the No. 3 prospect in the state of Louisiana for the 2025 class. She has risen to No. 142 in the full national rankings for 2025, moving up 26 spots over the past four-plus months of action.
Camper's 2025 signing class appears to be one of the strongest in program history, having landed a pair of five-star prospects in Jordan Fenton (Biscayne Park, Fla.) and Addison Iacono (Pittsboro, N.C.) in addition to the four-star Mancuso. The incoming class follows the 2024 group who received votes among the top mid-major signing classes at the NCAA Division I level.
