Fourteen current and soon-to-be Chattanooga Mocs made their way to Geneva, Ohio for the 2025 U23 Nationals and U20 World Team Trials. Weights ranged from 57 to 97 kg as the group totaled 227 points ranging from seven to 27 points scored.

Top Finish
Incoming freshman Will Anderson came in fourth at 63 kg competing in the U20 Greco-Roman World Team Trials. He was the lone Moc in the U20 event.

Cavarius Liddie claimed 27 points in the U23 Freestyle Nationals. He advanced in the first two rounds before a loss sent him into consolations. He got three straight triumphs before bowing out in the conso sub round of 16. He had three tech falls among his wins over the weekend.

Deepest Runs
97 kg
Kendrick Curtis reached the championship round of 16 before his day ended in the conso sub quarters.

Kamdyn Munro also made it to the round of 16 at 86 kg. His tournament ended in the conso round of 16 in a narrow 2-1 decision.

Another incoming transfer, Billy Meiszner, reached the round of 16 earning two tech falls along the way. His visit also ended in the conso round of 16.

Other Top Performers
Incoming transfer Cooper Flynn dropped his 57 kg match in the round of 64 before a run in the wrestlebacks ended in the sub quarters. That loss snapped a 5-match winning streak for the 2-time NCAA qualifier.

Redshirt freshman Landon "Bones" Jones tallied 20 points for his efforts at 79 kg. He won his initial bout before a loss in the round of 64. Three straight wins got him to the conso sub round of 16 where he fell after three wins in a row, two by tech fall.

Final Thoughts
"We saw a lot of good things out of this tournament that we can focus on over the summer, heading into next season. We have a lot of promise, but that means nothing if we don't continue to work to be our best." –
