"We really wanted this game, but I thought that just to start the trip out in a very businesslike approach, the girls didn't get too high, they didn't make more of this than it was, and they came out and grinded the win. It was beautiful."
On being prepared
"I think that, knowing how good UNCG is, we had to be prepared. Coach Tianni (Kelly) had a great game plan for us today, but just so incredibly proud of everyone."
On winning the fourth quarter by 12 points
"That's how championship basketball's played and how you close out teams on the road. Yeah, and I think a lot of that goes credit to Caia (Elisaldez), you know, our heartbeat. I think, when the game was tight in the fourth quarter, she scored in transition, and then she had the nice pass up to Falon (Bedke).
On Falon Bedke's performance
"Oh my gosh, she's been working so incredibly hard to have this opportunity to play really well. Definitely very proud of her."
On letting out a yell at the final buzzer"
This win? Losing the championship in OT. It doesn't make it all the way better. No, that yell was for Sigrun (Olafsdottir) for Karsen (Murphy), for Brooke (Anya), for Jade (Moore). For those seniors, I didn't get to the NCAA Tournament because we didn't end up finishing the job. That's what that yell was. You know, we've been thinking about revenge for a while, at least I have, and that was for them. "

On what playing UNCG means to the team
"We definitely talk about it in practice at the time, and then, in the huddle before the game, with our starters who just wanted to take it personally, and make money and prove a statement through the night, and I think that's what we're doing."
On the team picking each other up offensively
"Yeah, definitely. I think we play together and know that it's not necessarily one person who does it all. It's a team, and everybody has each other's backs and everything."
On how this team's defense has improved throughout the season
"It was something that we needed to improve going into conference. And, yeah, we just get in the gym, work at it every single day in practice. Whether it's ball screen breakdown, or just, like, shell defense we go through it all."
