CHATTANOOGA (January 30, 2026) – The Chattanooga Mocs women's tennis team posted its second-straight win to open the 2026 season with a convincing 6-1 win over Georgia State during non-conference action on Friday evening inside the Strang-Voges Tennis Center on the campus of the McCallie School in Chattanooga.
Following the win, Chattanooga opens the season 2-0 for the first time since the 2023 spring season. After opening with two losses to 'Power 4' opponents in Georgia Tech and Alabama, GSU falls to 0-3 on the year following tonight's loss.
"This team played with a lot of heart tonight," said head coach
Chad Camper. "Dropping the doubles point and then winning all six singles matches was quite an accomplishment."
