SPARTANBURG, S.C. (February 10, 2026) – Following a perfect three-win weekend, Chattanooga Mocs women's tennis freshman
Addison Iacono was named the Southern Conference Player of the Week, as the league office announced the weekly honor on Tuesday afternoon.
Iacono is the program's first freshman to earn SoCon Player of the Week honors since April 10, 2012 (Kaylene Chadwell). She's also the first overall Moc to win the honor since
Rozalie Dohnalova on February 6, 2024.T
The first-year Moc put together a combined 3-0 record between singles and doubles this weekend, all at the No. 1 position, to help lift Chattanooga (4-1) to a pair of wins over Eastern Michigan and Eastern Kentucky. The freshman is now 4-1 in No. 1 singles this season and 3-1 in doubles action.
Iacono posted a 6-4, 6-1 win over EMU's No. 1 singles pairing during Friday's 4-0 win in a neutral site matchup in Richmond, Ky. In Saturday's win at EKU, Iacono followed with a 6-2 win at No. 1 doubles alongside teammate
Rufaro Magarira before claiming a 6-2, 6-3 straight-set win at No. 1 singles.
