HAMMOND, La. (February 21, 2026) — The Chattanooga Mocs women's tennis team extended its winning streak to five matches after securing a 5-2 decision over Southeastern Louisiana on Saturday afternoon in Hammond, La.
 
Chattanooga improves to 7-1 on the season following its fifth-straight win, and first over the Lions in the series' history. Southeastern Louisiana drops to 6-2 overall after today's defeat.

In doubles, Emma Pedretti and Savannah Presson edged out Taisia Bolsova and Aitana Darder 7-6 at No. 2 while Jordan Fenton and Ella Mancuso delivered a 7-5 win against Mariam Tetradze and Adriana Tirado at No. 3 to secure the team point. Southeastern Louisiana claimed a win at No. 1 as Bente Bierma and Paige Duncan defeated Addison Iacono and Rufaro Magarira 6-4.
 
In singles play, Chattanooga's Iacono quickly added a team point with a commanding 6-1, 6-0 victory over Panatachak Suanarsa at No. 1. Mancuso extended the lead with a 6-2, 6-1 win on court six against Tirado. Presson contributed another point for Chattanooga with a 6-4, 6-1 result against Mariam Makashvili on court No. 3.
 
Magarira clinched the overall match for Chattanooga, defeating Bierma 6-3, 6-3 at No. 2. Southeastern Louisiana responded with wins on the latter courts as Duncan defeated Zara Burns 6-1, 6-4 at No. 5 and Tetradze overcame Pedretti in a three-set duel, 2-6, 6-2, 1-0 (7-4) at No. 4.
