RICHMOND, Ky. (February 6, 2026) — The Chattanooga Mocs women's tennis team blanked Eastern Michigan 4-0 on Friday afternoon in a neutral site matchup at the Greg Adams Tennis Center (Richmond, Ky.) in the first-ever meeting between the two programs.
 
After the win, Chattanooga improves to 3-1 overall with its lone loss to ACC-member Georgia Tech. Eastern Michigan falls to 6-2 on the season after winning six-straight to open the campaign.
 
Chattanooga took the doubles point as Emma Pedretti and Savannah Presson kicked things off with a 6-3 win at No. 2 over Eastern Michigan's Matilde Parreira and Sabrina Tolstova. Jordan Fenton and Ella Mancuso clinched the point with a 7-5 victory at No. 3 against EMU's Iva Daneva and Regi Mendez Carreno.
 
In singles, UTC extended their lead with an Iacono straight-set win at No. 1, defeating Hukmasabiyy 6-4, 6-1. Presson added another point for the Mocs at No. 3 by overcoming Kharadkar 6-2, 6-4. Magarira sealed the victory for Chattanooga at No. 2 singles, securing a 6-2, 7-5 win against Tolstova.
 
Three singles matches were left unfinished, with Pedretti and Parreira on court for No. 4 singles, Zara Burns and Mendez Carreno at No. 5 singles, and Fenton facing Daneva at No. 6 singles.
