Team Notes

- The Chattanooga Mocs dropped a 72-67 decision to the Samford Bulldogs in the Southern Conference Championship Game Sunday afternoon in the Harrah's Cherokee Center…the Mocs are now 20-10, while the Bulldogs move to 16-18.

- 20-2 all-time in the SoCon Championship game…the Bulldogs are 4-1.

- 69-23 (.750) all-time in the event…Furman is second in wins with 33 (33-41).

- 42-6 all-time as the No. 1 seed.

- Samford's 20th tourney win (20-14)…joined the SoCon in 2007-08.

- The Mocs led 14-3 through the first 3:10 of the game…Samford out-scored them 32-13 over the next 16:50 for a 35-28 halftime advantage.

- The Bulldogs were hot from long range…made 9-14 (64.3%) through three quarters…finished 10-17 (58.8%).

-UTC knocked down 10 threes, totaling 31 for three games which tied the SoCon Tournament record for a Tournament from the 2010 UTC team.

- Caia Elisaldez led the Mocs with 20 points on 50% (8-16) shooting... 11th game this year with 20 or more points... Was named to the All-Tournament First Team... Also had four assists and three rebounds.

- Izzy McPherson scored 17 points behind five made triples... Was 40% (6-15) from the field... Also had three assists and two rebounds.

- Gianna Corbitt totaled 12 rebounds and nine points... Made one three, which tied the SoCon Tournament record for most in a Tournament with 12...Was named to the All-Tournament First Team.

- Frode Flos van der Schans scored nine points... Made her first start of the year and just the second of her career in the loss.
