DJ Adams and the Chattanooga Mocs take the field Saturday for the annual Spring Showcase at Scrappy Moore Field.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.--- The Chattanooga Mocs 2026 Football Spring Showcase takes place Saturday, April 18, at 1 p.m., at Scrappy Moore Field in the Murphy-Haugerud Football Practice Complex located off the Tennessee Riverwalk. This event offers fans an exciting opportunity to witness the efforts and progress of nearly 90 team members who have been diligently participating in spring practice.

Under the leadership of Coach Rusty Wright, who is entering his eighth season with his alma mater, the team features a strong group of returning players. These experienced athletes are instrumental in developing the redshirts, transfers and freshmen on the 2026 roster.

Coach Wright remarked, "We're trending in the right direction... I think we got a better idea of what these guys can do, and it gives us a better understanding of what I think they'll be able to do come the fall."

This year's showcase is held at the football practice center, Scrappy Moore Field, instead of the usual Finley Stadium. Although seating is limited, the venue promises an intimate experience with fans being closer to the action.

Coach Wright shared his enthusiasm for the venue, stating, "The atmosphere down there is going to be pretty cool for our guys and the fans...I think it'll be a good afternoon for us, and people can get up close and get to know these guys better."

Admission to the showcase is FREE with fans encouraged to bring donations for Scrappy's Cupboard, which supports food and personal care item distribution to alleviate insecurity within the UTC community.

Coach Wright emphasized the importance of this initiative, saying, "You always want to give back, and where's the best place to start but right here on campus."

For those planning to attend, parking is available in lot 33 on 4th Street across from the Aquatics & Recreation Center. Limited bleacher seating means fans should consider bringing lawn chairs or picnic blankets for comfort. Additionally, there will be a food truck and portable restrooms available, along with space for games and activities for younger attendees.

The Chattanooga Mocs 2026 Football Spring Showcase not only represents a culmination of spring training efforts but also offers a chance for the community to engage in charitable giving. It's a promising opportunity to support the team and the broader UTC community.
