Women’s Tennis Travels to No. 72 Furman on Friday

The Chattanooga Mocs women’s tennis team will look to notch a nationally ranked victory with a Friday matchup against the powerful Paladins.

CHATTANOOGA (April 2, 2026) – Aiming to rebound from its first league defeat, the Chattanooga Mocs women's tennis team hits the road to Greenville, S.C., for a late-season Southern Conference matchup at nationally ranked No. 72 Furman on Friday morning.
 
First service against the Paladins is set for 11 a.m. (ET) at the Mickel Tennis Center. Live video and scoring for the match will both be available as complete match details, notes, links, and additional information can be found below.

- Perennial league-power Furman (13-4, 5-0 SoCon) enters the week ranked No. 72 in the latest ITA Division I National Team Rankings… Paladins have won five-straight… all SoCon duals… tied with ETSU at the top of the standings.
- Furman captured the both the SoCon regular season and tournament crowns in 2025… six NCAA Tournament appearances, six SoCon Tournament titles and nine SoCon regular season titles for the program since 2014.
- In addition to the team's ranking, Furman features two doubles pairings in the latest ITA National Rankings… duo of Lilie Murphy and Elle Warren (16-3) sit No. 38… Sasha Dimitrov and Murphy (6-4) hold the No. 60 spot.
