CHATTANOOGA (April 8, 2026) — The Chattanooga Mocs women's tennis team closed out its home portion of the spring slate with a quality 6-1 victory over Mercer during late-season Southern Conference action on a sunny Wednesday afternoon at the UTC Tennis Center on campus.

In doubles, UTC's Ella Mancuso and Emma Pedretti opened play with a dominating 6-0 victory on court No. 3 before Mercer answered with a convincing 6-1 victory on court No. 2. With the team point coming down to the top court, Rufaro Magarira and Savannah Presson posted a hard-fought 6-4 winner to give UTC an early 1-0 lead.
 
Mercer tied the match 1-1 with a 6-3, 6-1 straight-set victory in the No. 3 slot before UTC responded with straight-set wins from Magarira (6-0, 6-4) on court No. 2 and Addison Iacono (6-4, 6-1) at No. 1 to help build a 3-1 lead in the match. Pedretti provided Chattanooga's match-clinching moment with a 7-5, 6-1 win at No. 4 before Jordan Fenton (7-6 (3), 6-2) Mancuso (3-6, 6-4, 10-6) finished out the scoring with wins on courts five and six, respectively.
