CHATTANOOGA (May 20, 2026) – Fresh off a successful spring season, the Chattanooga Mocs women's tennis team and head coach
Chad Camper are keeping the momentum rolling after securing a transfer portal commitment from highly accomplished juniors player and Pepperdine transfer Liam Oved, the program announced on Wednesday.
Oved, who finished her juniors career No. 61 in the ITF World Rankings, will join the Chattanooga program following two seasons at national-power Pepperdine of the West Coast Conference. The Waves finished the 2026 season with an Elite Eight appearance and No. 9 final national ranking.
"The team is excited about the addition of Liam Oved to the program," said head coach
Chad Camper.
"Liam is a solid player with her best tennis still ahead of her. Her work ethic will fit right in with our Chattanooga program."
Oved, a native of Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel, will immediately bolster a Mocs lineup that returns all nine players next season including All-Southern Conference performers
Addison Iacono and
Rufaro Magarira. UTC concluded the 2026 season with a 17-5 overall record, marking the most wins for the program in a single season since 2015.

- Incoming junior from national power Pepperdine… Waves checked in at No. 9 in the final ITA National DI Team Rankings… Waves reached the Elite Eight in the 2026 NCAA Tournament… team finished 21-5 (7-0 WCC) in 2026.
- Finished 15-9 in singles during rookie season with the Waves in 2024-25… won four of her final five matches of the season including a straight-set win over Wake Forests' Sankavi Gownder in the NCAA Tournament opening round.
- Finished 11-15 overall in doubles during the 2024-25 campaign… went a perfect 5-0 in West Coast Conference (WCC) play… helped Waves clinch doubles point in WCC Championship match against No. 48 San Diego.
- Won nine of her first 10 matches during the 2024 fall season… four wins over nationally ranked opponents… top win came in straight sets (6-1, 7-5) over No. 54 Alexia Jacobs of Washington.

- Finished juniors career with a No. 61 ITF world ranking (2023)… No. 1 ranked juniors player in Israel in both singles and doubles… two-time U16 Israel national champion.
- Captured six singles titles during juniors career… won 2022 J2 Kiryat Shmona (hard) and 2022 J3 Maaseiki (clay) tournaments… also made four semifinal and nine quarterfinal appearances in juniors singles career.
- Competed in the qualifying draws of both the US Open and Junior Wimbledon in 2023… reached the second round in both events… claimed wins over world-ranked opponents Anastasiia Firman (Ukraine) and Francesca Gandolfi (Italy).
