GREENWOOD, Ind. - Chattanooga Beach Volleyball's McKenna Faychak, Ansley Gulledge, Maddie Lecik, and Corina Vale were tabbed Academic All-District by the College Sports Communicators. The four student-athletes were named to the Women's At-Large team that was announced by the organization.

To receive this award, student-athletes must be in at least their second year of college and have at least a 3.4 cumulative GPA while competing in at 75% or more of their team's dual matches. The At-Large team represents student-athletes who compete in Beach Volleyball, Women's Golf, Women's Bowling, Field Hockey, Gymnastics, Women's Ice Hockey, Women's Lacrosse, Rifle, Women's Crew, Women's Skiing, Women's Water Polo, and Women's Wrestling.

The senior duo of Lecik and Faychak earned their third consecutive Academic All-District distinction. Also after a great season in the sand and the classroom they advanced to the CSC Academic All-America At-Large ballot. The All-America teams will be announced on July 7.

Vale picks up Academic All-District honors for the second year in a row while Gulledge earned the award for the first time in her career.

Faychak and Lecik competed in the No. 1 slot all season for the Sandy Mocs and posted a 20-5 record. This led to them being named OVC Pair of the Year and earning AVCA Top Flight 1 Recognition. The pair was also First Team All-OVC and a three-time winner of OVC Pair of the Week. Faychak won the award for OVC Player of the Year.

Vale held a 21-6 record, playing in the No. 2 position during her junior season and went undefeated in conference play. She picked up AVCA Top Flight 2 honors and was also named First Team All-OVC and OVC All-Tournament. She also won OVC Pair of the Week on April 21.

Competing in the No. 3 slot, Gulledge ended the season with a 21-7 record. This led her to earning AVCA Top Flight 3 honors and being named First Team All-OVC. Additionally, alongside Sydney Jackwin, Gulledge won OVC Tournament Most Valuable Pair. It was the second year in a row that she picked up this award.
