NASHVILLE, Tenn. --- After trailing 2-0 at halftime, the Chattanooga women's soccer team bounced back with two second half goals to earn a 2-2 draw at Lipscomb Thursday night.
 
"Great character from the group," head coach Gavin McKinney said. "To go 2-0 down at the defending ASUN champions, fight our way back to 2-2, dictate the play, and create a ton of chances speaks volumes about the potential of this team."
 
With the Bisons leading by two goals, the Mocs made quick work of it in the second half, getting a score inside the first minute of the frame. Savannah Dunahay, in the middle of the box, just outside the six-yard box, found the pass from Emily Betterton and sent a shot into the net on the right side to cut the advantage in half in the 46^th minute.
 
Emma Reeves, just inside the top of the box, took a pass from EG Dillard sent between a pair of defenders. She quickly moved the ball around her defender and sent a shot into the far corner for the equalizer.
 
Lipscomb's first goal was an own goal in the fourth minute. The Bisons scored in the 17^th minute to take a lead they would hold through the half.
 
Chattanooga outshot the Bisons 27-9 (11-5 SOG) and had seven corner kicks to none advantage.
 
Lilly Kate Varino had four saves in the game. Paige Thomas was relentless with 10 shots, Reeves added five and Dillard had three of her own.
 
"Looking forward to being back at home on Sunday against a very good EKU side," McKinney said.
 
The Mocs return home Sunday to host Eastern Kentucky. The game kicks off at 1:00 p.m. and admission is free. Stick around after the game for autographs.
