2019-20 • SOPHOMORE SEASON:  Went 12-14 as the started at 157 ... third at the SoCon Championships ... third at the Appalachian Open ... fourth place at the Southeast Open ... made the Dean's List and A.D. Honor Roll both semesters ... 4.0 GPA in the spring ... made the SoCon Honor Roll and earned the SoCon Commissioner's Medal.

PRIOR TO UTC: Compiled a 16-10 record as a freshman at Wisconsin in 2017-18 ... did not compete in 2018-19 ... recorded the most two-point and four-point near falls of any unattached wrestler with 12 and 19 respectively ... also tallied the highest amount of technical falls of any unattached wrestler with seven ... picked up four falls and three major decisions ... 14 of 16 victories were bonus-point wins ... placed 3rd at Pat 'Flash' Flanagan Open ... took 4th at Willie Myers Open, going 4-2 .. three time Minnesota High School state placer at Centennial High School in Circle Pines, MN., ... 4th at state as a senior going 40-3, state runner-up as a junior, finishing 44-4 ... finished 4th as a sophomore, going 38-8 ... two-time member of the MSHSL State Tournament  All-tournament team .... took 5th and 3rd at Minnesota Christmas tournament ... Greco and Freestyle State Champion ... Northern Plains Greco and Freestyle Champion ... traveled with his father to Bosnia and Serbia to compete at the Veteran World Championships in 2013 and 2014 ... attended a USA Cadet Developmental Camp at the U.S. Olympic Training Center as a freshman.  Ran cross country in high school.  Has completed eight marathons.

Son of Margaret and Chad Shilson ... born April 7, 1999 ... has one sister, Emily ... father wrestled at Augsburg College (MN)... Sister won Cadet World Title in 2018.  Finance major.
