Winning Notes
- 18th team victory in the team’s nine-season history…last was April 2015 capturing own Chattanooga Classic at Council Fire Golf Club…Colette Murray’s teams have at least one win in every campaign since she started the program’s return in 2007-08.
- 14th medalist, Emily McLennan’s second win…McLennan joins Emma de Groot (6) and former teammate Agathe Sauzon (2) as the only multiple winners in program history.
- 6th team win for seniors McLennan and Isabella Loza.
School Records
- 12-under par 852 beats the previous school-record total by seven shots…shot 859 (-5) winning the 2011 JMU Eagle Landing Invite.
- Set new 36-hole mark on day one with 564 (-12)…13 strokes better than record of 577 (+1) at 2014 Web.com Intercollegiate.
- McLennan’s -11 (205) best Christine Wolf’s record of 209 (-7) while winning the 2011 JMU Eagle Landing event…her first day 136 (-8) is a new 36-hole mark topping Jordan Britt’s 137 (-7) at 2014 Web.com tourney.
Emily McLennan
- As noted above, 2nd career win and set new school marks for 36 and 54-hole scores.
- 13th career top 10, 8th top 5.
- First Moc to post three rounds in the 60’s in an event…now has seven in her career which is also a school record (Emma de Groot, 5).
- Played 51 of 54 holes par or better…career high for birdies with 14…26 already on the season, 4.3 per round.
Isabella Loza
- Tie for 4th matches career-best finish…also 4th in last year’s Chattanooga Classic team win…3rd career top 10.
- Shattered career-best numbers for 18, 36 and 54 hole scoring…turned in two 70s yesterday to top low round (72) and 36 holes (147)…212 is also seven shots better than previous low tourney (219, 2015 Chattanooga Classic).
- Career high for birdies with 11…5 over first 18 also a career high...played par or better on 47 of 54 holes.
- Three par or better cards marks four for her career.
Cris Perez
- 217 is new career-best total…tops 225 in 2015 SoCon Championships.
- Tied career-low card with 71s over first two rounds yesterday…142 is a new 36-hole best (146, 2015 Mercedes-Benz Champ.).
- 3rd par or better round of the season, fourth of career.
- Tied tournament high of eight birdies that she set the first tourney this season (Mercedes-Benz Champ.).
Megan Woods
- New career high with nine birdies for the event…five birdies in second round also a new high.
- 218 total is career low by nine shots (227, 2015 SoCon Championships)…71 over second 18 is new low as well.
- 71 was second career par or better card.
