Tailgating Guidelines | Purchase a Spot in the First Tennessee Pavilion
Fans of the Chattanooga Mocs football team have one of the most unique tailgating opportunities in the nation. Adjacent to Finley Stadium is the First Horizon Pavilion. The old Ross-Meehan Foundry has been renovated into an open-air pavilion which has become a favorite tailgating spot for all Mocs fans.
The First Horizon Pavilion provides a perfect location for fans to enjoy all the traditions of tailgating plus the added amenities provided by the UTC Athletics Department. There is space available to tailgaters inside the pavilion and information on reserving these spaces is available here. However, most fans opt to park in the surrounding lots and stroll through the free activities located inside.
Parking directly adjacent to the First Horizon Pavilion and on the south side, also known as the VIP Parking Lot, of the stadium is reserved for Mocs Club members beginning at the All-American Moc ($500) level and above.
Parking is allocated using the Priority Points System of the UTC Mocs Club. The Scrappy's Kid Zone is located inside the Pavilion and has slides, bouncers and other inflatable rides for the younger Mocs fans. The Fan Zone has bean-bag toss and ladder ball games while the Prize Patrol always has free giveaways to Moc fans who visit their area.
The band, cheerleaders, Sugar Mocs and Ladies of GOLD are on hand to get the fans going for the traditional Moc Walk. This occurs approximately two and a half hours before kick-off when the team bus pulls into the back of the First Horizon Pavilion parking lot.
The police escort announces the arrival of the UTC football players and coaches as they make their way through the Pavilion. Fans line-up to form a human high-five path as the players head to Finley Stadium for their pregame warm-ups.
At approximately 45 minutes prior to kick, the UTC Marching Band, Ladies of GOLD, Cheerleaders and Sugar Mocs parade through to lead the Mocs fans to their seats in Finley Stadium.

- Scrappy's Kids Zone featuring inflatables, free games (Cornhole, Ladder Ball, Giant Jenga, etc.), craft tables, and face tattoos
- Moc Walk by the coaches and football players 2:30Â before the game
- Pre-game spirit parade by the Marching Mocs Band and Chattanooga Spirit Squads
