TITLE: Graphic Design Intern
REPORTS TO: Dr. Jay Blackman - Associate A.D (Communications & Marketing)
START DATE: Fall 2014
END DATE: December 2014 or May 2015
RESPONSIBILITES:
- Create graphics for use in all aspects of promoting the Athletics Department.
- Post exciting and innovative graphics on GoMocs.com and the Athletics Department's social media outlets.
- Design covers for selected winter and spring sport media guides.
- Design posters for selected winter and spring sports.
- Design promotion flyers for use throughout the year.
- Create graphics for use in MocsVision broadcasts.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a strong knowledge of Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Strong verbal, written, organizational and interpersonal skills.
Skills learned through internship: Adobe Creative Suites (InDesign, PhotoShop, AfterEffects), online editing with Neulion, social media promotions.
Potential career paths that this internship prepares you for: Preparation for a career in sports communications and graphic design for print and television.
