Chattanooga Mocs Fan Council


Purpose
The Chattanooga Mocs Fan Council exists to provide feedback and guidance to our Athletics Department, specifically to the area of External Operations, as it relates to fan experience and gameday enhancements which might lead to improved engagement with our community and constituencies.

Guidelines
  • Fan Council Members commit to a 2-year term, and there are up to 12 advisors at any given time.
  • Membership shall be comprised of a diverse group to include students, staff, alumni, donors, ticket holders, and community members, so that varying perspectives may be obtained.
  • During meetings the Fan Council will be provided with current marketing plans, budget information and a "behind the scenes" look at our overall department.
  • Members will be asked to provide opinions and feedback as to how Chattanooga Athletics can continue to grow and achieve maximum success across various areas of focus.

Meeting Format
  • Meetings are to be held semiannually (August and January) on a weekday.
  • Each meeting will take place on the campus of UTC.
  • Meetings are during the week.
  • August Meeting will focus on External Operation Functions such as: Tickets, Marketing, Media Relations, Development and Corporate Sales.
  • January Meeting will focus on Internal Operation Functions, such as: Academics, Compliance and Student Support Services.
  • During each meeting, a brief tour of a specific area may be provided for attendees.

Important Dates (2021-22)
  • July 2 - Deadline for applications to be accepted. Click here to fill out an application.
  • July 5 - Application review begins and membership selected.
  • July 9 - Announcement of the Fan Council Membership on GoMocs.com.
  • July 16 - Meeting Notice/Agenda distributed to all members.
  • Tuesday, August 10 - Summer/Fall Membership Meeting
  • Thursday, January 6 - Winter/Spring Membership Meeting
