Jim Monk is entering his second season with Mocs football. He currently serves as the Special Teams and Offensive Quality Control assistant.
Monk joined the staff from Rutgers University, where he was the special teams quality control coach and also assisted with the tight ends. He started his career at Virginia Tech as a football and recruiting volunteer. He followed that with a stint at James Madison as an offensive quality control, working with the running backs. The next season he went to Florida Atlantic as a special teams quality control and assisted with tight ends.
Originally from Oak Hill, Va., Monk graduated from Virginia Tech in 2013 where he double-majored in Marketing and Management.
