Collegiate Coaching Highlights
- 2024 defense was just the 20th in program history to limit opponents to 10 or fewer points in six or more games with just three of those seasons coming in the "modern" era (1982, 1985, 2024)
- 2023 LB room combined for six takeaways with three interceptions and three fumble recoveries.
- 2022 defense led the SoCon in Total Defense (320.5), Rushing (108.0), Sacks (35) & Opponent First Downs (185)
- His 2022 group helped lead a defensive effort allowing -4 rushing yards to VMI, just the seventh negative rushing game by an opponent in school history
- 2021 Mocs defense led the league in all the major categories: Scoring, Total, Rushing & Passing
- 2021 group held five opponents to 200 or fewer yards for the program’s third time – 1982 (6), 2014 (5)
- Tiffin went 9-2 in his one year there reaching a top 25 DII ranking
- Dragons had 19 takeaways (15 INT/4 FR) in 2018 scoring twice
- Carthage program showed steady improvement increasing its win total each year, including a 5-5 record in 2015 and 7-3 record in 2016
- 7-win season in 2016 was just the 19th in program history, placing Yeager in elite class with Art Keller and Tim Rucks as the only coaches to lead the Red Men to at least seven wins in a campaign
- 2017 edition completed another 7-3 season with the 14 wins over two ledgers was the most for the program since 18 (2004-05)
- Played for and coached under the late Terry Hoeppner at Miami (player) and Indiana (coach)
- His 2004 season at Wooster saw the Scots go undefeated in the regular season (10-0) before reaching the second round of NCAA Playoffs ironically losing to Carthage ending at 11-1
- Teams are 35-14 entering the 2024 season with Yeager as defensive coordinator
