Prior to Chattanooga
- Played in 24 games in two seasons at Morehead State...PFL Honor Roll both years.
- Prepped at Norwalk and Perkins High Schools in Ohio...played for Todd Fox with the Truckers and Jalen Santoro for the Pirates.
- First team all-conference and all-district as a junior...injury kept him out of his senior season until week 10 but still did enough in the final three games of a 12-1 campaign to earn a DI opportunity.

Personal
- Born 2005...son of Jason & Kerri Ziegler...has an older sister, Elizabeth, and younger brother, Joey.
- Father, Jason, played football at Ashland...all-conference offensive lineman and team captain...coached high school football in Ohio including 10 seasons as head coach at Perkins.
- Sister, Elizabeth, played volleyball at Western Illinois recording 785 kills and 189 blocks in her career (2022-25).
